Diana Benjamin is the President and Founder of New Genesis Pathfinder. As a Certified AI Consultant and Certified Business Growth Coach, she helps established trade and field-service businesses, particularly those pursuing or performing government work, make informed decisions about how AI enters their operations and how its use should be managed.
Diana brings nearly two decades of experience across public procurement, supplier diversity, compliance, business coaching, and technology. Her New York City government career included senior roles in the Office of the New York City Comptroller and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, along with procurement and compliance experience at the Department of Design and Construction. She has advised and coached hundreds of businesses navigating certification, contracting, growth, and operational decisions. Her work has included supporting M/WBE compliance efforts on major capital projects, including the JFK Airport Redevelopment and Newark AirTrain Redevelopment.
Her responsible AI work combines formal education with practical application. Diana has built functional AI tools, readiness assessments, and multi-step agent systems and has developed and delivered responsible AI webinars and training for small businesses. With degrees in Information Technology and Teaching and Learning with Technology, she brings business judgment, operational discipline, and an educator’s perspective to AI adoption. Her approach begins with the business, not the tool, helping leaders prepare before AI-assisted work becomes business as usual.
